After an intense assessment and selection process for Software Factory suppliers among the country’s major players in the industry, Visanet hired DBServer to develop a complex and strategic system.
Visanet, responsible for running Brazil’s entire network of Visa affiliated establishments, set stringent standards for suppliers in terms of quality and methodology in the execution of these services.
DBServer met Visanet’s software development by constructing quality, customized software using world class methods and technology such as CMM©, RUP© and PMI©. With a competitive budget, quality assurance within stipulated deadlines, service level agreements (SLAs) and the best development practices in the market, DBServer was able to secure this important Software Factory contract outside the country’s main software hub.
DBServer’s Software Factory developed the project using unit and white-box testing, including an agreed number of use case points, in accordance with the use case specifications provided by Visanet. The scope of services contracted required technical leadership, planning and the management of construction activities on the part of DBServer.
DBServer will also continue to provide technical support for facilities and software updates, in addition to compiling and integrating software packages for submission to acceptance tests by Visanet.
In late August, Visanet directors and the DBServer partners and team gathered at the Panorama restaurant at PUC-RS restaurant to celebrate delivery of the construction phase of the project under contract. Verner Heidrich, responsible for the DBServer team, highlighted the relevance of this project to the company and Luciano Corsini, Executive Director of Technology for Visanet, congratulated the team for complying with the stipulated deadlines and quality requirements.
